The aim of this project was to install a new ammonia removal unit in the current operation in Lučební závody Draslovka a.s. Kolín.
The new unit is designed for ammonia removal from waste water by steam stripping. This technology will reduce the concentration of the ionically bound NH3 from the initial value of 300 to 1600 mg/l to a final value up 50 mg/l.
The cleaned wastewater is transported for further processing into existing wastewater treatment plant. In the process released ammonia is used to produce ammonia water with a concentration about 25 wt%. NH3, which is used in the existing technology.
