The purpose of this project was to design the waste water ammonia stripping process ant to elaborate detail design of the waste water treatment plant with total capacity 650 m3/h and zero waste water discharge policy requirement for Abu Qir fertilizers in Egypt.

The plant consists of six trains, where each line is equipped with two stripping columns with random packing where the ammonia is stripped from waste water by hot air reducing ammonia content below 0,7 ppm and one scrubber column with random packing where the ammonia is removed from the hot air. Effluent-treated air is then routed back to the ammonia stripping phase.
