The aim of this project was the complete engineering and implementation of optimization of the existing cyclohexylamine (CHA) and dicyclohexylamine (DCHA) production plant for DCHA production only with the target of intensifying production up to the level of 10 kt/year.

The subject was procurement and construction of new units for continuous hydrogenation and distillation. The implementation involved the partial use of existing equipment after its process and technical assessment and also necessary modifications. Selected equipment was connected to nitrogen blanketing and off-gases are routed to the combustion unit located in the new CHA plant. The fire safety of new facilities was improved and a new underground emergency sump was constructed at the same time.
