Environmental protection requirements for oil drilling from the seabed are constantly increasing. Our company has responded with projects for construction and supply of atmospheric oily water separator, which is intended for use on drilling platforms. This process will be installed on drillships.
Designed separator provides a complete treatment of water from retention tanks contaminated by solids and oil products during drilling operations on the platform in the capacity of 20 m3/h with highly effective reduction of impurities up to 15 ppm. Due to the lack of available staff at drilling platforms, the entire unit is capable of fully automatic operation the current operating parameters are monitored by the platform central control system. Output measurement of water quality is taken by certified oil analyzer designed to safe detailed records available for by the competent authority inspection. By measuring the rate of pollution the separator is able to drain the treated water back to the sea automatically via remote-controlled valves.
Main benefit for the customer is the possibility of reprocessing of separated sludge, but also the transported in volume of contaminated water necessary to be reported from the drilling platform by service vessels, which leads to a significant reduction of operating costs.
