Design and procurement of equipment of two unit modifications for coke separation from the quench oil loop of the ethylene plants. The special process filters have supplemented originally installed cyclones, which replaced the existing settling tank, which operation had a negative impact on the environment and health and safety at work.
There have been executed internal modifications on the existing cyclones to increase separation efficiency.
The process is designed and owned by Intecha.
Newly installed special process filters work periodically. Separated coke is sent to the disposal after cleaning as dry powder material.
Adjustment of existing equipment for coke removal has increased the efficiency of coke removal from the quench oil loop. Operation problems removed, operating costs
have been decreased and occupational safety has been increased.
Incorporation of this process enables ethylene units to set up to longer operational cycles between shutdowns.
