The objective of the project was replacement of methane compressor train at the ethylene unit in UNIPETROL RPA, s.r.o.
Replacement of the unit was executed during a shutdown of the ethylene unit within 31 days.
A complete set of detailed design documentation was prepared for the construction. The documentation featured implementation of the new unit to the existing technology – connection of the turbine and the compressor including the accessory equipment to the piping of process fluids and utilities (methane, steam, condensate, oil, cooling water, nitrogen), connection to the control system and providing all the procurement and assembly associated with installation of the new methane compressor train.
