The process of liquid rubber production was developed in the Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber (VÚSK) Kralupy nad Vltavou. Production started in the year of 1996 with a capacity of 2000 t/year of LBH 3000 polymer.
Requirements for an increase in the capacity and for introduction of new products called for modernization of the production plant and for modification of the process.
The objective of the technical support was to prepare detail documentation for the modification according to the requirements of the company. The modifications were namely connecting a new separator, relocating and connecting a tank with respect to its new use, assessment of a steel structure with respect to relocation of the tank, connecting a new coalescer, dosing equipment for an additive to a reactor, a change of cooling of reactors to a combined heating circulating system/once-through cooling system, changes in connections of equipment for stripping and concentrating the product, replacement and a new use of a pump. Also there was made filters moving and pumps replacement.
