The existing unit did not reach the required efficiency, and it had a very negative impact on HSE. Consequently, the unit was reconstructed according to a study and a basic design prepared by Intecha. The objective was to install process which meets BAT requirements.

The principle of the process is removal of solid particles from the entire stream of quench oil in hydrocyclones with subsequent filtration and washing procedure of the filtered particles (coke) to obtain a dry solid phase, with no negative impact to the environment, health and safety.

The process is designed by Intecha. The project included a feasibility study, a Basic Design, support for construction and procurement of main equipment.
