The reconstruction of two process lines of the "Gasification of the heavy fuel oil" production unit was based on gradual reconstruction of both process lines of the "process gas wash" without any shut down of the production.

The reconstruction consisted of equipment renovation and of a complete change of the process primarily. The main goal of the reconstruction was to meet requirements for the H2S content in the CO2 off-gas, i. e. the content of H2S lower than 3 ppm.
Within our scope, entire columns (the absorber and the stripper) including the packing were designed and changed, shell and tube heat exchangers were replaced by plate heat exchangers, hermetically sealed pumps were installed, main piping connections, all the instrumentation and control items we reconstructed. The new process was designed for the new wash solution “liquor” which supply was also in our scope.
