This job included ten projects aimed at improvement of the CCR unit reliability (reforming with continuous catalyst regeneration). Their execution was during the Litvínov refinery shutdown in 2016.
The most important implemented projects were as follows:
Exchange of reactors internals – removal of existing internals and installation of new ones Scallops type.
Regenerator modifications – replacement of the 1st combustion bed internals, installation of flexible thermocouples into the 2nd combustion bed and oxychlorination tray modification.
Replacement of the existing turbine’s control system with a new one with electronic speed control, modification of lubricating and regulation oil.
Replacement of the existing security and monitoring system of axial displacements and vibrations of the steam turbine and compressor shaft with the new Bently Nevada system.
Installation of TRASAR system including metering pumps – TRASAR unit automatically evaluates the demineralized water quality and delivers chemicals to treat the steam system.
Installation of a new pH analyzer in the blowdown stream for continuous pH monitoring and installation of cation conductivity analyzer in the steam condensate.
